Tony's travel features transport our readers to the world's most exclusive and serene destinations, showcasing the beauty of quiet luxury.

Tony McGrath is Stately’s travel writer, drawn to the journeys that stay with you long after the return home.

His features favour the unhurried — the detour, the long lunch, the landscape that rewards patience — over the spectacular for its own sake.

Tony’s writing transports readers to serene and exclusive destinations, always with an eye for the detail that defines a place.

The journeys that change you are almost never the grandest ones.
